Lash Extension FAQs
01
How long do lash extensions last?
Your full set lasts 2-3 weeks before needing a fill to keep the look up.
02
Does application hurt?
Application does not and should not be even uncomfortable at anytime during the process. Most people sleep through most of it.
03
Can I wear eye makeup with extensions?
Powder makeup is acceptable, however anything with an oil ingredient will break down the adhesive on the extensions.
04
How soon before an event should I get extensions?
Ideally 2 to 3 weeks prior to the event. This allows the initial application plus a fill to perfect the look right before.
05
Can I use makeup remover on my extensions?
Oil free remover is best, but your lashes come with a bottle of gentle lash cleanser so you don’t have to worry about finding the right product.
06
How long does it take to get extensions?
The full set can be 2-3 hours, with average fills being 60-90 minutes.
07
How often do I need to have my extensions filled?
Every 2-3 weeks to replace lashes that have shed, as well as removing and replacing outgrown extensions.
08
Is it possible to have an allergic reaction to extensions?
Yes. It’s also possible to develop them at anytime. Patch tests are always recommended and free.
09
Do you offer foreign fills?
I will work on other lash artists' lashes at no additional charge. If you come in with lashes I cannot work with, I will recommend a removal and full set.
10
How do I prep for my lash extensions?
In the day leading up to your appointment you want your lashes and eyelids as clean as possible. Your extension will last longer when they are attached to clean natural lashes. If you cannot come in washed there is a lash wash station in the salon.
Skincare & Treatment FAQs
01
What types of skin do you treat?
All of it! My clients range from 9-98 years old, with all the different skin types. While most of my clients are female, my treatments are great for men and those in transition, too.
02
How do I know my skin type?
Your skin type is genetic and based on oil production: dry, oily, combination, or normal. If you don’t already know your skin type, we will decide during your consultation and treatment.
03
What's the best aftercare after a facial?
After any professional treatment we want to stick with our gentle cleansers, barrier support and sun protection always.
04
Who should consider microneedling?
Microneedling is an advance treatment for skin with good barrier function. It’s great for treating multiple concerns because it completely restructures the skin by triggering your body’s would healing response, rebuilding collagen and elastin in the skin. The process causes skin to build new tissue while eliminating damaged skin. The treatment targets acne, acne scaring, texture, lines and wrinkles, & hyperpigmentation.
05
What's the best type of facial for mature skin?
A facial performed on mature skin depends on the the skin barrier is and how resilient the skin is. I love working into glycolic treatments for mature skin to target fine lines and wrinkles as well as peptides to help firm the skin.
06
What's the best type of facial for acne or sensitive skin?
These facials use different enzymes to target specifics in the skin. Acne clients with a good barrier can tolerate acid enzymes while sensitive clients may not exfoliated at all.
07
Do you offer hair removal?
I do not, but I know a great waxer! Check out my resource network to find their info.
08
I've never had a facial before. Which one should I choose?
